Premium P80 Tool List
The P80 Philosophy
The P80 is a curated tool kit designed around one principle: 80% coverage. These are the tools that handle the vast majority of repair, installation, and maintenance tasks you will actually encounter. No redundancy, no filler, no "might need it someday" items.
Total cost is around $800. Every item was selected for quality, portability, and versatility. Here is the full list.

Why These Specific Tools
Every tool on this list was chosen because it does its job reliably, fits in the bag, and will not need replacing. The VETO bag is the most expensive single item, but it is the backbone of the kit. Without good organization, tools become a pile of metal in a duffel bag.
The Makita 12V drill is intentionally compact. A full-size 18V drill does not fit well in a portable kit, and the 12V handles drywall screws, cabinet hardware, and light drilling without issue.
What Is Not on the List
No socket set is listed here because that depends heavily on your specific use case. See our socket rail article for recommendations. No specialty electrical tools either. This is the general-purpose core. Build on it as your needs demand.
